This time, the left has their proverbial panties in a wad over what they say was Rush Limbaugh calling a poor, pathetic, defenseless woman a "slut." I'm a woman. She is "poor," "pathetic," and "defenseless." Grow a set, lady. If you can't take the heat, you'd best remove yourself from the public view. You're the one that put yourself out there. I find you to be an embarrassing example of a "woman." You lied about your past and that you've had an agenda from the beginning. You're embarrassing to all women.
You can hear what has the left losing their minds within the first 60 seconds of this video:
As a result of Rush Limbaugh saying what he said in that 60-second clip, Rush is losing sponsors because of an organized effort by the left.
In addition to ProFlowers, Rush has so far lost a total of 7 sponsors. (Don't worry, there will be plenty of others to take their place.):
The six other advertisers that have pulled ads from his show are mortgage lender Quicken Loans, mattress retailers Sleep Train and Sleep Number, software maker Citrix Systems, online data backup service provider Carbonite and online legal document services company LegalZoom.Read more HERE.
One sponsor (that I know of so far) has lied about their reason for leaving Rush. Here is a screen shot of the statement that ProFlowers put on their Facebook page:
Here is opposing information tweeted by ProFlowers. This is a screen shot from their Twitter feed:
So, which is it, ProFlowers? You do NOT "...base our advertising decisions to align with any particular political view or opinion..." or you DO buckle to those with particular political views or opinions as you stated on Twitter: "Your concerns affect how we manage our dealings with our advertising partners." And "We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to more effectively manage our relationships with our advertising partners." You have to pick one. You can't have it both ways.
This is a free country (sort of) and ProFlowers, you are free to advertise wherever you want. But, when pulling your advertising from a radio show because of political pressure by people who never listen to that radio show, you shouldn't lie in your statement about what does or does not affect your decision to remove your advertising.
Just a tip for ya.
I'll never, and I mean never, use your company again. I'm DONE with weak-kneed American companies that buckle to this kind of political pressure. If you have no convictions, you, as a company may want to think about adding that to future statements. You're free to NOT have any convictions. Same as I'm free to call you on it when you LIE.
