Nebraska's Progressive Republican Governor Dave Heineman sent a letter to President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today asking that the permit for construction of the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline be denied. The pipeline (like the pipeline constructed across Nebraska in 2009) is proposed to run atop the Ogallala Aquifer (like the pipeline constructed across Nebraska in 2009). Click HERE to learn about the Ogallala Aquifer.
I'll be writing a more in-depth post about the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline in the near future. I hope to have it completed next week. I will lay out the obvious connections to progressive "green groups" all over the country that have their hands in halting the construction of this pipeline that could lessen the USA's reliance on Middle Eastern sources of oil. We STILL wouldn't be drilling for our OWN oil, we'd just be getting more from Canada as opposed to getting it from countries that despise the United States.
This pipeline is proposed to run from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. The environmentalist wackos have taken hold of too large a number of usually rationally-thinking Nebraskans and turned them into "useful idiots" who are proving to be more than willing to beat the drum for the enviro-cause-of-the-month.
Now, our Progressive Republican Governor Dave Heineman has pulled a "Ben Nelson" on the citizens of Nebraska and SOLD OUT the entire United States by asking Obama to deny this pipeline permit. What a surprise. (I wish.)
No, the Governor of Nebraska does not always wear a "Husker" shirt.
Oh! If you'd like to see a video about the other Keystone Pipeline that was built across the Ogallala Aquifer in 2009...watch the video below. I remember all of the "Welcome Pipeliners" signs ALL OVER town (Norfolk, NE), too...a couple of them were even customers of mine while they were around town. ;)
Thanks, Gov.
Hopefully, this headline has it right: "Alberta-Texas pipeline looking like a sure thing."
I can't imagine President Obama doing anything that's actually GOOD for our country, however. One would think that Governor Heineman would know that. I guess he hasn't been paying attention...
...or perhaps he was smitten by actress Daryl Hannah who was arrested in D.C. yesterday protesting the Keystone XL Pipeline. :)
